Fees //

SELF FUNDING PATIENTS

 

If you are paying for your own treatment you will be asked to settle your account following your outpatient consultation with Mr Charles. We would appreciate accounts being settled promptly on receipt of your invoice or by contacting Mr Charles’ office via the details below.

 

We accept bank transfer, all major credit cards and cheque.

 

Prior to any inpatient procedures a package price will be provided by the hospital which will include Mr Charles's fee, that of the anaesthetist and the hospital fee. You are responsible for all charges.

PATIENTS COVERED BY MEDICAL INSURANCE

Mr Charles is ‘fee assured’ by all the major medical insurance companies, which means there should be no shortfalls owed by you in relation to any recommended inpatient or day-case treatment and which your insurer confirms is covered by the terms of your policy.

Please contact your insurer before you book to confirm that you are covered by the terms of your policy.

Your private medical insurer will be contacted for payment.

 

If your insurer does not cover the full amount of your consultation or treatment, you are responsible for settling any outstanding amount.

 

It is your responsibility to obtain authorisation from your insurer beforehand. Our fee schedule is typically met by the insurance companies. However, as there are so many different policies in existence, it is your responsibility to establish if your policy will cover your costs, and to identify if there will be any shortfall.

Follow-up appointment   £150

 

FURTHER FEES are charged for specialist tests, out-patient procedures and investigations.

 

FEES FOR HOSPITAL TESTS are set by the hospitals and will be charged to you or your insurance company separately.

ACCOUNTS AND PAYMENT

 

The balance of your account is payable immediately after your consultation.

Most insurance companies will settle the account directly on your behalf, but please remember that, regardless of any insurance cover, payment is ultimately your personal responsibility.

We accept phone payments, bank transfer or cheques.
